By the time you reach 35, your body blah blah blah
Ah, to be in my 20’s again. I hate (maybe hate is too strong of a word) when I read something about health and it starts off by saying “By age 35, your bones stop doing this” or “By age 35 you need to start taking in more of this”.
I’m at that age that I should be something? I didn’t even know I was supposed to be doing anything at 35! ha ha!
I thought 40 sounded good to start looking into those things but I’m a day late and a dollar short. I remember this happening too when I was pregnant couple of years ago. I thought I would have a baby with no problems because of my age. Then, there is was in black and white. “By age 35 your pregnancy runs the risk of….” Boy I hate that. But in a funny way.
Anyway, my plan is going good so far. I made it 3 days to the gym and will be going today also. Concentrating on walking and some strength training. I’ve been eating right and taking my vitamins. The scale is relecting my work. Feeling good too. Body feels lighter than usual. Had to cut the cokes completely.
Have a healthy day! We are worth it!
.

WW,
Cut the cokes!!! Seriously. It’s CRAP as Lyssa would say. Good job on going to the gym and feeling lighter. I like your cute tracker by the way.
About aging. It’s my favorite topic and I am 42 years old. Our bodies, including brains, are a miracle because of innate plasticity and ability to bounce back to health. We will restore lost bone mass by doing weight training, improve blood circulation, and rejuvenate our arteries by cutting out unhealthy fats and carbs and implementing cardio. Healthy food and exercise… no magic anti-aging pill, just these simple things. And tons of positive emotions. This is a no-brainer… aging can be graceful and healthy.
I’m glad you are feeling well! Maybe you should send me that list of what you are supposed to do at 35. It’s right around the corner for me!
I am glad that your work is paying off! And throw those cokes out the window! Just don’t hit anyone with them! Let me know about all those things I need to be getting ready for in 5 years! LOL!
oh…so that is why i have a back problem and bone spurs in my foot….afraid not…mine is all the weight baby. I dont think age has anything to do with it. Healthy living has got to be the key…tasha I hit mine early so hope yours is 5 years :)….Yall have an awesome day.
Good job on your exercising, and getting rid of coke. My hubby and I have such a problem with cutting soda out of our lives - it really does take lots of self control. So good for you, girlfriend! Reading your blog is inspirational - keep up the excellant work.
Keep up the good work! More exercise!! Keep it up!! I am watching you
Ahem, as a 48 year old, I can tell you that at 35 the so called experts might suggest that you do this or do that, but by age 48, they INSIST on it. LOL
Great job on sticking to plan this week. I can read and hear the renewed determination and positivity lately WW. Makes me grin and show all my teeth.
Glad to hear that you cut the cokes out. Grinning more…
YOU ROCK MISS THANG!!!!
Hugggggggggggggs,
Shan
Oh, well. Don’t choke on the vitamin again and call it a good day. That 35 thing got me too. When is the world going to realize that life STARTS at 35?
And here is a site that has many uses for Coke, most of which do not involve drinking it.

I think life starts at 40. Haven’t you heard that 40 is the old 20? You’re never to old. Think postive thoughts. Age is just a number.
I know what you mean about being a certain age and then finding out you should have been doing _____ and now it doesn’t matter. In my nursing classes they are telling us that calcium building in bones becomes much less active after 25 and I was like shoot. Anyways, keep up the good work, it seems like you have done well so far:) GOOD JOB!
Now that I’ve reached the antique age of 47…LOL!! I wish I had taken better care of my health. Good for you Wonder Woman…you have always been an inspiration to me!! Enjoy being 35, 36, etc…each year brings upon new things and experiences! Glad to see you feeling so good these days!
You are such an inspiration WW, I can only hope that when I am 35 I look as good as you do!
Great work on staying on plan. I don’t like those recommendations that start with, “When you’re 35…..” either. But I don’t usually listen to those things either because when you read all the literature nowadays, everything is bad for us. Better to focus on feeling awesome than all the talk by the so called “experts.”
I used to believe that until very recently, when I saw the 60+ year old man on the Biggest Loser and his amazing transformation. I think ANYTHING is possible at any age, as long as you set your mind to it. I know women who take care of themselves and prepare for a healthy pregnancy after 35 and have healthy, happy babies. So….I no longer believe that life after 35 is any less impressive and wonderful than in our 20’s!
Way to go on getting back to your workouts WW. I’m proud of you. You’ve done such an awesome job and have been a true inspiration to a lot of us buddyslimmers. As for the “by the time you reach 35″ stuff, I’ve got another year and 22 days to worry about that. But, I’m not old like you. Hee hee. Seriously, I think you’re doing exactly what you need to be doing by improving your health through exercise and healthy eating. Oh, and YES, cut out the coke! That stuff’s bad for ya anyway!
The blogs you read about age can be silly. You are doing the right stuff to make your life better so i wouldn’t put to much thought into the rest. You are doing great!
Try being 48, *wry smile*. Lol. Seriously, good job on your workouts and don’t worry about the age thing, I’m having to learn that too. Keep up the good work!
