The Wonderful Wizard of Oz! Oh, I mean Dr. Oz. And he’s cute too.

So, I am restarting my plan today. For those of you who don’t know me, I reached my goal weight and now trying to maintain and find a plan that helps me do that without being overwhelming either. I’ve gained 5-7 lbs so I’m trying to get back on track.

Anyway, I went to the book store and bought two books by Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen. I couldn’t decide which I wanted so I splurged and bought both. One is a body owners manual and the other is ways to stay young. I think they both have the same types of info but I wanted to surround myself with good info. So, I started reading the owners manual one first and I love it so far. The info in there is so simple to follow and it explains very well as to why you have to watch what you eat and how food and the body react to each other and what causes heart attacks and so on and so forth. I’ve stocked up on some good foods and other things the book mentioned and me and the hubby are going to give it our best effort. (hubby had a regain too.) There are different diseases in both our families that I’m surprised we haven’t exploded yet! Kaboom! Just kidding.

Question of the day - Do you ever find yourself thinking a man is handsome simply because he looks like a doctor? When Dr. Oz wears those scrubs he automically gets handsome! Would I think he was cute if he was wearing a fast food uniform? Ha ha! I don’t know. Please, discuss amoungst yourselves. But, not all at once. One at a time, one at a time.

LOL!! Got to love the doctor look! I had never thought of scrubs as handsome attire, but maybe you are onto something! I’m going to halloween next year as a scrub nurse! :P I’m glad you found some good info at the bookstore. It will give you a feeling of control to be following something! I’m going to have all the great info lined up by the time I get to maintainance from you and Tasha! ;) If you feel slightly used.. Well, I’m sorry! :P

I look forward to hearing about what you learn from these books. I think Dr. Oz is kinda dorky but has great info. You would think he is hot, you are kinda dorky too! :P
Back on track seems to be the catch phrase of the day….Here is to having a great, losing week!

Exercise! Not that you aren’t already (I have no idea). But, if you make sure you are getting cardio in there it will help keep off the weight. I know a lot of people yo-yo be they slack on the exercise part. It sounds like you are committed by the fact that you are buying books. But, remember its what you do with the info that is going to dictate whether you are successful.

Cute in a dorky kind of way?

WW I think its so awesome that you are reading and learning new info. and reinforcing some stuff that you already knew at the same time.

Those are two books that I want to get too.
Both with tons of good info. in them I think.

    Happy reading
    Lori

I always wondered why Nurses stopped wearing the sexy crazy outfits.

    I love those “YOU” books.

Honey, when you have worked as a nurse, you find those surgeons are so arrogant you want to scream! But then again if you chop holes in people and wait around for the biopsy while looking at said hole, I guess you have to have a lot of self esteem! I prefer the way House dresses even if he is the MOST arrogant. Watched Dr. Oz today and it sounds great. Let us know any tidbits you can. Hugs, Marge

Sounds like you are on the right track! I am always reading up on things about nutrition lately! I am hoping that I will know what to do when I finally get to my goal and also to help along the way!
    You go, girl!
    Have a good one!

‘Bout time you got back on track. I’m watching you lady!! Get it in gear now and keep it there. You don’t have to run in 5th gear all the time but at least go for 3rd. (I don’t know what that means either so don’t ask…it just sounded good) As for men looking good just ’cause they are wearing scrubs or “doctor coats”, I have to agree with Marge. After working with them for so long, you get sick of looking at them. As for Dr. Oz, I agree with Tasha, he looks like a dork. But, I’ve seen worse. Good luck getting those few pounds back off. I’ll be kicking your butt till you do!

You are too funny!! Well, women have a thing for men in uniform, so maybe there’s something to Dr. Oz and his scrubs!

First Chips now Oz, begining to wonder about you lady. I’ll have to lock up my nurse trainee son if I hear you are in the neighborhood

I think scrubs are hot too!!! and I even work at a hospital, so you think I would get sick of Drs. Something about being able to save lives though that is a major turn on LOL

He was on Oprah yesterday, I think. Heard he was going to be so I recorded it. I like his YOU on a Diet. Gotta say, though, I’m with Tasha on thinking he looks rather dorky.

I read something recently that people who read alot about losing weight actually lose weight because it keeps them thinking about ways to get healthy. Good job Wonder Woman! By the way, I am not up with the internet lingo so can anybody tell me what lmao means???
