My costume is of a woman who gained a few pounds.
And the good thing is I don’t have to spend a dime to look it. Now, let me go down the check list for my costume.
- Jeans a little too tight that when I sit down I have to pull them up over my tummy for comfort. Check!
- One headache from where I quit drinking coke which is making me look a little grumpy. Check!
- Frustrated look in my eyes from me thinking “do you really want to renew your goals on a Wednesday?” Check!
All in all, the costume is coming together!
Well, I’m taking baby steps to get my self back in the game of things. Gained about 7 pounds since reaching goal weight. Now I know that isn’t awhole lot but it’s a trend I want and need to stop. Plus, these 7 pounds feel like 12. I know how the bad food makes me feel. I just have to renew and refresh my goals. I keep refreshing them though and never really put it into play. I’m good for about 3 days and then I start slowing down like a turtle. Maybe that should be my costume!
This isn’t just about me. It’s about my family and how long I want to stick around on this earth for them. It’s about walking a little faster and looking a little hotter. I have a family birthday party in about two weeks and I want to look good. I don’t want to be the person who has gained weight since they last saw me but the one who is looking great. Yeah, I want some jealous eyes on me. My ego needs a boost. Hey, Wonder Woman needs a boost now and then! I can’t always be a super hero 24/7. Paaaleeese.
Anyone want to restart with me? C’mon. Let’s get it going and get ready for the holidays! Let’s start on Halloween! What could be scary then to restart our diet on a candy day?

You know I’m behing you all the way, and I know you can do it! Hey, I’m about to catch up to you! We can’t have that happen! I sure need your sharp wit to get me thru these holidays, I feel them lurking around the corner, so let’s do it!

I went as Stressed Mom who couldn’t find anything to fit last night!
Tomorrow will be a new day for both of us! Have family visiting after Thanksgiving and want to lose some more by then.
lol… love the way you described the costume but don’t care much for the costume itself. Good luck on getting back into the groove. No, you don’t need luck because you know exactly what to do. You’ve done it before. Go on, dear, show back some teeth to the food, candy and soda monster.
I went as a girl who could wear her XXL football jersey to work and breathe :). I have a renewed commitment (see yesterdays blog)….ready to take it on
You know I am with you girl! You need to act on these “start overs” and I will be there to give you the kick when you need it and I think you need it right now! Pick a day and just do it!
You can do it, you can do it!!! I know you are frustrated, but I know that you will be sayin bye bye to those pounds before you know it!
Tell you what WW. You try like hell to lose those 7 lbs, and I’ll try like to not find them!! OHHHHH! You don’t really want to start on candy day do you??? Common!! Do you know how much candy I bought last night? I haven’t even had any of it yet! Ok, ok, you are right. Today is the perfect day to start. I don’t vow to lose, but I vow to resist the temptations if junky food and slothfulness. Time to kick some booty through the holidays! Here’s to the New Year!
The temptations OF… God, I can’t type!
I’ve worn that costume before. You have picked an excellent day to start your goals back up. Just think, by doing it today you avoid the temptations of the day and in a way, you’ve already lost a pound or two you might have gained!
You can do it. You are so strong! Ellen
If I can stay away from those flippen donuts that some evil EVIL person brought to work today and are still sitting there calling my name, then you can stay away from the candy today, and then again tomorrow, we will face whatever challenge comes our way again. But for today, JUST TODAY, we will be strong and show the world that we are WORTH it… every bit of it… every single tiny ounce of effort and determination and will power and focus and desire. WE ARE WORTH IT!
Where you wonderwoman costume! Looks better than a turtle. LOL
Huggggggggggggs,
Shan
LoL at your costume description too.

Well, now you know that maintaining is harder than losing. So, go start kicking butt! I know you can do it.
You are too cute and creative with your halloween costume, and I loved reading through your blog! =)
Your attitude is contagious so keep up the good work. You can do it!
Peace to you and yours!!
If anyone can do it, it’s you for sure!!
For sure you can do it. I’m recently getting back in the game myself so I’m right there with you. No problem….no sweat…..
your post made me laugh, but in all seriousness, you’ll get there, keep working hard and it’ll all pay off

Loved your blog Wonder Woman…but I know you of all people can accomplish anything you put your mind to. You are already ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL…but I can understand that 7 pounds must feel like a lot. But remember how much better you felt before gaining back. You want that GOOD feeling again and YOU CAN DO IT!! Look at the support you have here at BuddySlim. Its amazing!!
So Game On WW…were all in your corner…today and everyday!!
Hey Wonder Woman…I have more than enough faith in you. Take a moment, close your eyes and breathe. We all need meditation time, even if for two minutes. You will be back on track. There is no reason why not. Keep Your Head Up!
Sometimes even a super hero needs a little break. Ok, breaks over. Your my idol, my mentor, my super hero! Show me the way girl!
